Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions from parents and families
How often should I contact my student?
We recommend giving your student space to adjust while maintaining regular, but not overwhelming contact. A weekly check-in is often a good balance, but every family is different.
What if my student is struggling academically?
Encourage your student to reach out to their academic advisor, professors, or our tutoring center. If needed, you can contact the Dean of Students office for additional support resources.
How can I access my student's academic information?
Due to FERPA regulations, students must provide written consent for parents to access academic records. Your student can complete this process through the Registrar's office.
What emergency procedures are in place?
We have comprehensive emergency notification systems including text alerts, email notifications, and campus-wide announcements. Parents are included in emergency communications when appropriate.
